Cambodia Deputy Prime Minister attends Global Food Systems Summit

New York, 23 September 2021 (TDI): H.E Chhay Ly. Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia attended the Global Food System Summit in New York on 23 September 2021. He delivered a speech to highlight the significance of the global food system and sustainable development goals.

The Deputy Prime Minister said the National Road Map of the Food System for the Sustainable Development 2030 is the main source where all countries could make alliances and could do their work according to existing and tested strategies. One of the main elements of Global Sustainable Development Goals is to provide food security and equal accessibility for all states. Therefore, the kingdom of Cambodia has provided the three key points.

The Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, healthy diets for all was a focused point where each citizen of Cambodia must have access to nutritious food which was considered as a basic necessity of each human life. Furthermore, he also said they would provide equal opportunity of education to our young generations. The Government of Cambodia would also provide an authorized system that ensures food security.
