Taxila, 13 September 2021 (TDI): Irena Gancheva, the Bulgarian Ambassador in Islamabad, visits Taxila Museum and learns fascinating information about ancient Takshasila from the museum’s impressive collection of antique items.
Taxila Museum is in the city of Taxila in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The museum houses a large and diverse collection of Gandharan art from the first to the seventh century CE. The majority of the items in the collection were discovered in ancient Taxila’s ruins.
The Museum depicts Taxila’s cultural heritage and diverse achievements throughout the previous four thousand years. Over 7,000 unique and preserved items have been shown at the Museum from the huge collection of antiquities found from the excavations in Taxila.
