Hanoi, 15 August 2021 (TDI): On August 13, Vietnamese Foreign Minister, Bui Thanh Son had a discussion with UN USG/ESCAP Executive Secretary Armida Alisjahbana. The discussion was about COVID-19 prevention and post-pandemic recovery, VietNam’s engagement in the work of United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), support for the Mekong sub-region, and the 75th ESCAP anniversary activities.
It was the 45th anniversary of Viet Nam’s membership in the United Nations. Both had a good conversation, as expressed on Son and Alisjahbana’s Twitter.
