Islamabad, 26 November 2021 (TDI): National Day and Armed Forces Day of Bosnia Herzegovina was celebrated here in Islamabad. Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony.
The Chief Guest paid rich tributes to the Bosnian National Heroes who have sacrificed their lives for the motherland. Federal Minister said that the people of Bosnia Herzegovina have paid the heavy price of independence. He further added that since the history of the territorial dispute with the neighboring country, Pakistan understands the challenges of the Bosnian citizens.
People of Pakistan also understand and feel that the challenges for the government of Bosnia to recover from the war and sustain pangs of oppression is though an uphill task but we are sure that our brothers and sisters will come out of it sooner. Even despite challenges, Bosnia is one of the fast-moving modern country especially the GDP, imports, and exports.
The people of Pakistan and the government always stand by the people of the Government of Bosnia. Pakistan supports Bosnia at all regional and international forums.
Ambassador Sakib Foric and Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam on National Day and Armed Forces Day of Bosnia Herzegovina
While speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Sakib Foric talked about his gratitude to all those who have joined him in celebrating the 25th National and Armed Forces Day in Islamabad. He said that as his presence in Islamabad is coming to an end, he would like to continue to cherish memories that he has made in Pakistan for a lifetime.
Ambassador Sakib said that the Bosnian embassy is celebrating the two important days. One is November 25th as the National day of Bosnia and the second one is December 1 as the Armed Forces Day.
Ambassador Saqib Foric said it was also the 78th anniversary of the statehood started in 1943rd.
About Bosnia-Pakistan relations he said the two countries have always enjoyed good friendly relations. He also spoke about the official visit of Bosnia Herzegovina Chairman of Presidency Sefik Dzaferovic last year in November and hoped next year Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan would also visit Bosnia to cement those brotherly countries.
