Bilawal, US Presidential Aide Discuss Ties, Trade and Regional Security

Islamabad (TDI): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met US Presidential Aide Ricky Gill at Zardari House on Thursday for talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting regional stability.

Discussion covered a broad range of issues, including Pakistan–US relations, regional security, trade partnerships, and avenues for enhanced diplomatic engagement.

Bilawal thanked US President Donald Trump for what he described as a “decisive role” in easing recent tensions between India and Pakistan.

The PPP chairman highlighted Pakistan’s interest in expanding trade with the United States, noting that stronger economic ties could help drive growth and create new opportunities for both nations.

He also underlined the importance of sustained dialogue to address shared security concerns in South Asia.

Ricky Gill reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to working with Pakistan on areas of mutual interest, including counterterrorism, regional connectivity, and energy cooperation.

He said the US valued its long-standing relationship with Pakistan and was keen to build on recent diplomatic progress.

Both sides agreed to maintain close contact in the coming months, with follow-up meetings expected between relevant officials.
