Beijing, 5 February 2022 (TDI): Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and China have a long history of strong partnerships and strategic relations.
Zoran Tegeltija Chairman Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina visiting China
Nowadays, the Chairman Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH), Zoran Tegeltija is visiting China. Whilst there, he met with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang. He discussed current political affairs and the economic situation.
Tegeltija also highlighted the present bilateral relation between both states. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a main partner of China in Eastern Europe and has a strong relationship with the People’s Republic of China.
Tegeltija’s Opinion about this visit
On this occasion, Zoran Tegeltija stated that both China and Bosnia have strong and high-level relations. The two allies have a comprehensive strategic partnership. Moreover, they have support, mutual trust, and respect for each other.
He also thanked China for its assistance against Coronavirus and overall support along with prosperity, development, and stability of BIH and equal policy toward both entities.
Tegeltija praised the success of China
Zoran Tegeltija praised the success of China in political and economic reforms. He also added that this development and success is a model for many developing and transitioning states.
Stressing that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) launched by the Chinese President is an integral part of China’s cooperation.
Tegeltija one-on-one meeting with Chinese Premier
The BiH Chairman met with the Chinese Prime Minister and discussed improvement and cooperation in the energy, infrastructure, and economic situation in BiH. Both pointed out the importance of strengthening cultural ties.
They also stressed the importance of opening the Confucius Institute in Banja Luka and Sarajevo, and expressed BiH’s expectations for further development of cooperation in the field of agriculture through the 16 + 1 Initiative.
In addition, the two focused on strengthening economic relations, especially about the development of BRI, between China and BiH.
Winter Olympic’s of 2022 and BiH Participation
BiH is participating in the Beijing Olympics 2022. Chinese President invited state leaders all around the world. Chairman Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is visiting China to participate in the inaugurated ceremony. Russia, Pakistan, Central Asian States leaders also attended the inauguration ceremony of the Winter Olympics.
