Dhaka, 18 October 2021 (TDI): Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Bangladesh and to promote common cultural heritage between Pakistan and Bangladesh, launched the book ‘Allama bil Qalam’ in the Bengali version. The calligraphic book has contributions from numerous Pakistani Calligraphists.

Pakistan and Bangladesh share similar cultural heritage and history. After the partition of Indian subcontinent in August 1947, Bangladesh, erstwhile East Pakistan became the part of newly independent state of Pakistan (West Pakistan). In 1971, East Pakistan got separated from West Pakistan and became Bangladesh. The national language of Bangladesh is Bengali.
