Beirut/Islamabad (TDI): The 18th consignment of humanitarian aid for people of Lebanon has successfully landed in Beirut, which flew from Islamabad International Airport via a chartered flight, carrying 95 tons of relief items by GoP/Pak NDMA, a press release stated on Wednesday.
The Government of Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to the war-affected people of Palestine (Gaza) and Lebanon, it added.

Earlier, the 17th consignment of humanitarian aid for people of Lebanon successfully landed in Beirut.
It flew from Jinnah International Airport Karachi this yesterday via a chartered flight, carrying 17 tons of relief items.
Last week Prime Minister had issued special instruction for ensuring early assistance to the affected people in the two war-hit countries.
The Israeli attacks against Lebanon and its aggression in Gaza has displaced people in large number besides causalities in tens of thousands. Israel is also obstructing humanitarian aid to the affected people in the occupied areas.

This week Israel’s parliament approved a bill banning UN body’s humanitarian operations in occupied Palestinian territory.
Millions of people in the territory were relying on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which was providing shelter, food, medicines and other essential supplies as winter is approaching.
