Quetta (TDI): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expanded the laptop distribution quota for students enrolled in public sector universities across Balochistan, increasing it from 14 percent to 18 percent.
This decision was made upon the recommendation of Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhail.
Moreover, Balochistan’s students have been granted three thousand internships, a noteworthy step toward strengthening education sector and fostering employment opportunities.
The announcement was made by Rana Mashhood, the Prime Minister’s Adviser on Youth Affairs, during the 20th convocation of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS).

The convocation, organized on Thursday, was presided over by Governor Mandokhail, who also serves as the university’s chancellor.
The ceremony recognized the accomplishments of seven hundred graduating students.
Speaking on the occasion, Mandokhail praised PM Shehbaz Sharif and his adviser for their proactive measures.

“These measures reflect a strong commitment to the educational uplift of the province’s youth. Increasing the laptop quota and providing internships are practical initiatives toward bridging the gap between urban and rural educational opportunities,” he said.
