Baku Forum Boosts Ties: Aleem Khan

Islamabad, (TDI): Federal Minister for Board of Investment, Privatization, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, welcomed the upcoming Azerbaijan-Pakistan Business Forum in Baku, calling it a significant step toward enhancing business relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, as well as Central Asian countries.

Speaking with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, in the National Assembly Chamber on Friday, Aleem Khan highlighted the potential of the forum to strengthen bilateral trade and mutual trust.

He noted that the event would bring investors from both countries closer together and bolster existing relationships.

The meeting al so touched on the broader scope for increasing business activities between Pakistan and Central Asian nations.

Aleem Khan emphasized Pakistan’s strong position in rice exports, particularly Basmati, where the country faces little competition.

Envoy Highlights Bilateral Ties

Ambassador Farhadov expressed optimism about the forum’s benefits, describing Pakistan as a close ally and noting that the event would be advantageous for both nations.

He also conveyed that Azerbaijani entrepreneurs view Pakistan as a second home and enjoy doing business there.

Khan confirmed his intention to visit Azerbaijan and Baku soon, following an invitation from the Azerbaijani side.

He assured the Azerbaijani business community of support from the Board of Investment and expressed readiness to assist in fostering business ties.
