Ankara, 7 August 2021 (TDI): On Friday, the fourth group of firefighters from the Ministry of Emergency Situations departed for Turkey, following the orders of Azerbaijan’s President.
Since July 28, 208 fires have been reported in 44 provinces of Turkey. While 196 of them have been put out, 12 fires in five provinces are still burning. Azerbaijan is one of the countries assisting Turkey in its fight against wildfires. Over the previous few days, Azerbaijan has sent hundreds of firefighters and equipment to Turkey.
According to Turkey’s Minister of Interior, Süleyman Soylu, Azerbaijani firefighters display their technical competence and professionalism in Turkey.
