Azerbaijani Ambassador met Chairman Pakistan-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group


Islamabad, 22 October 2021 (TDI): Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov met with Pakistan’s Senator, Muhammad Talha Mahmood. He is also the Chairman of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group.

This meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral cooperation between Baku and Islamabad.

Pakistan-Azerbaijan Friendship Group:
Pakistan- Azerbaijan Friendship group was formed to strengthen Pakistan-Azerbaijan cooperation for the development of political and economic relations. The Exchange of a high-level delegation, trade ties, and people-to-people contact will bring the two countries more closer.

Bilateral Relations

The similarities between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are striking. They have a shared Persian-Turkish history. Both Pakistan and Azerbaijan are largely Muslim countries. They have similar cultural, religious, and geopolitical outlooks.

The bilateral relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan are very deep. they are strengthening with time. Both countries announced continued support to each other on all issues of mutual interest at the global and regional forums. The relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan continues to develop in the political, social, and cultural spheres.
Pakistan-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group is a forum to further cement bilateral ties.

Concluding the meeting, Both sides agreed that the exemplary cooperation will continue in the future as well.
