Azerbaijan, Portugal forge ahead for better economic cooperation

Baku, 13 December 2022 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov met with his counterpart, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Portugal, João Gomes Cravinho to deliberate matters of bilateral relations.

At the meeting, they talked about certain matters regarding the bilateral developments of their countries. Some of the topics included trade partnerships, cooperation, and mutual support for each other.

On the issues of mutual support, they talked about the many advantages this can bring to their countries. It is noteworthy that their previous relations have been strengthening due to the mutual benefits they have all enjoyed from each other.

Portugal has been a business partner with Azerbaijan and has contributed greatly to its economic development. The yearly trade benefits both continue to enjoy as trade partners have contributed to their economic and sociocultural development.

Also, touching on the issue of bilateral relations, both parties talked about the ways to improve their longstanding bilateral relations as they forge ahead for more collaborations. Portugal has strong bilateral issues with many countries as a necessity for development.

Azerbaijan is a strong partner of trade with many countries for the elevation of the economic sector. Their relations with those countries in different sectors have helped them in many ways.

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan emphasized that his country will continue to reach out to any country seeking development, adding that Portugal has been one of those countries they have continued to work closely with as partners in all their relations.

In line with that, he applauded the government of Portugal for the continuous trust the country bestowed on his country for all these years. Engagement will soon commence assisting each other as they forge ahead in the quest for better economic management plans.
