Rawalpindi, 25 May 2023 (TDI): Colonel General Karim Valiyev, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, met with General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, during a State-visit to illustrate their strategic cooperation and shared commitment to defense and security.
The conference at the General Headquarters focused on strengthening defense connections and boosting collaboration in military and professional concerns between the two fraternal nations.
The occasion began with an official welcoming ceremony, during which the national anthems of Pakistan and Azerbaijan were played. After that, Colonel General Valiyev passed the guard of honor. During the discussion, the Chief of General Staff emphasized the purposeful provocations by Armenian armed forces along the conditional boundary to escalate tensions.
