Austria Foreign Minister addresses 76th UNGA session

New York, 24 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Austria Alexander Schallenberg addressed the 76th UN General Assembly.

Foreign Minister expressed his view on challenges pertaining to Afghanistan, Artificial Intelligence, COVID-19 Pandemic, and the values.
While putting forward his views on the COVID-19 Pandemic, Alexander Schallenberg said, we have to tackle this pandemic with unity.

“We still couldn’t understand this pandemic”.

Alexander Schallenberg said that it seems that we are again in that position where we were before 20 years, however, we will not leave Afghanistan’s people in this situation mainly, girls and women.

“They deserve freedom and fundamental rights”.


Moreover, Austria’s Foreign Minister talked about Artificial Intelligence. He said that new technologies do not have any limits and no new frontier.

Schallenberg also talked about the values; values of freedom of speech, human rights, etc. Schallenberg said that as a believer in the system of democracy, He wants to live in a system where human rights, equality, and freedom of expression are a reality, not just noble sentiments.
