20th July, 2021 –(TDI): Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Geoffrey Shaw, recently tweeted about the success of ACIAR-Australia’s funded project that focuses primarily on the modernization of Pakistan’s horticulture sector, in creating legislative change in Punjab, Pakistan. To advance and revisit Pakistan’s export development strategy, the nation’s federal government has infused their research recommendations into it while Punjab leads the way in terms of policy amendments. Such policy changes have led to the underpinning of the market development of mangoes, chillies and tomatoes. In addition, the project has achieved the support from the office of Prime Minister Imran Khan and at the same time raised the hopes of this project to be implemented nationally.
