Ashraf Ghani blames US administration for security dilemma in Afghanistan


Kabul, 3 August 2021 (TDI): Addressing the parliament, today on 2 August 2021, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani while presenting his security plan said that the abrupt and sudden withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan has led to the deteriorating situation of security in the country.

As the US government has wound down all its contracts in Afghanistan and has retreated its troop, the Afghan Taliban have steadily gained control over much of the Afghan territory due to weak security in the country. Afghan President, today, claimed that he gave the US administration a prescient warning about the repercussions of a quick withdrawal.

Afghan President presented his Security Plan in the parliament on Monday to which both the houses rendered strong support.
