Rawalpindi (TDI): Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has busted drug smuggling as it seized New Zealand-bound parcel containing 800 grams ice tactfully concealed in 8 slippers.
A spokesman for ANF Headquarters said that the Ice was recovered from a suspicious parcel being sent to New Zealand at a courier office in Rawalpindi.

“800 grams ice was concealed in 8, out of total 16 slippers,” he added.
The recovered drugs were concealed tactfully in the soles of the slippers.
An operation is underway to arrest the accused, ANF stated.
ANF informed that Online platforms/social media are need of the day, but drug dealers are targeting the young generation through these platforms, and many evidences exist that networking sometime misused by criminals.
The spokesman resolved that ANF operations would continue unabatted to make the country a drugs-free and safe place.

A case has been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the accused and further investigation is under going on.
The Pakistan Navy had seized 1.3 tons of narcotics valued at approximately $26 million during a targeted operation in the North Arabian Sea carried out a week ago. The operation by Pakistani forces was lauded at home and abroad.
