Rawalpindi (TDI):Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has managed to recover more than 21 kg drugs worth 2.5 million in Pakistani rupees arresting four accused successfully in separate operations across the country.
At least 1160 grams ice was recovered from a Doha-bound passenger netted at Islamabad Airport, an ANF Headquarters spokesman said here on Tuesday.
In another operation, 1210 grams ice was recovered from a passenger going to Jeddah at Peshawar Airport.
“While conducting four operations the ANF managed to recover over 21 kg drugs worth Rs 2.5 million and arrested four accused,” the ANF said.

The spokesperson informed that in an operation, 100 grams hashish and 5 grams weed were recovered from an accused arrested near a university in Rawalpindi.
The arrested accused confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
19.2 kg hashish was recovered from an accused arrested near National Highway in Hyderabad.
Cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against the arrested accused and further investigations are under process.

Few days back ANF seized New Zealand-bound parcel at a courier services that filled with drugs but no arrest was made immediately.
In view of the regional situation and cross border smuggling, government has instructed ANF to be vigilant everywhere for busting smugglers attempts.
