Mansehra, July 8, 2024 (TDI): On Monday, Ambassador Maria Agnes M Cervantes of the Philippines, accompanied by her embassy staff, visited Dhudial Mansehra to discuss and promote trade relations between the Philippines and Pakistan.
The visit was made at the invitation of Hanif Gohar, former Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
During her visit to Gohar House, Ambassador Cervantes and her delegation engaged in productive discussions with prominent business leaders.
The focus was on enhancing trade between the two countries and exploring Pakistan’s economic landscape. Former Federal Minister Azam Khan Swati also joined the discussions, contributing to the dialogue.
The delegation’s itinerary included visits to the Al-Mustafa Trust Gohar Campus Hospital in Dhodial and the Dadar Sanatorium Hospital.
At the Al-Mustafa Trust Hospital, the administration provided a comprehensive briefing on the advanced medical facilities and modern equipment available.
Ambassador Cervantes and her team also visited SOS Village Dhodial, where they interacted with the children and learned about the residential and educational services provided.
The children showcased their talents through impressive demonstrations of judo, karate, and taekwondo, which were highly appreciated by the visitors. Retired Colonel Fayaz Khan, Vice-Chancellor of Hazara University, was also in attendance.
Ambassador Cervantes expressed her admiration for the natural beauty of the area and commended the efforts to provide high-quality healthcare and education to the local community.
This visit marks a significant step in bolstering the ties between the Philippines and Pakistan, emphasizing mutual economic growth and cooperation.
