Amb. Nong Rong visited the injured Chinese nationals

Rawalpindi: July 15, 2021 –(TDI):  Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong visited CMH Rawalpindi to meet the injured Chinese nationals from yesterday’s bus blast incident. Ambassador was accompanied by Sohail Mahmood the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan.

Chinese embassy to Pakistan issued a statement and informed that on Wednesday morning a bus carrying Chinese and Pakistani nationals to the Dasu Hydropower Project in Pakistan’s KPK province met an incident and was hit by a blast leaving almost nine Chinese nationals and three Pakistanis are dead.

Ambassador Nong closely examined the treatment process of the injured and conveyed the recovery wishes and messages from the Chinese government to the injured nationals. The health and recovery of the injured is the priority of the Chinese government, said Amb. Rong.

He also mentioned that an in-depth investigation is being carried out and the Chinese government is in contact with the embassy to find out the reality of the incident. Either the blast is planned or a terrorist activity the culprits will be penalized.

In response to the remarks made by Nong Rong, Sohail Mahmood reaffirmed that the government of Pakistan will fully cooperate with the Chinese side to find out the reality of the incident and also will do its best to ensure that the Chinese injured nationals get the best treatment and service.
