Paris (TDI):Â A group of Pakistani students participating in the international Model United Nations (MUN) held in Paris received a detailed briefing at the Embassy of Pakistan in France on Wednesday, gaining insight into how their country engages on the global diplomatic stage.
During the session, the Pakistani envoy in France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, spoke to the young delegates about Pakistan’s commitment to international cooperation, respect for international law, and its active role in global forums, especially those based in Paris.
The delegates were also briefed on Pakistan’s priorities in international organizations, particularly those headquartered in Paris. She highlighted Pakistan’s recent tenure as Vice Chair of the Executive Board of UNESCO (2023–2025).
She also explained how the country has worked to advance the interests and development goals of the Global South.

The delegates, arriving from various parts of Pakistan, expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to hear directly from their country’s diplomats.
Many said the session gave them greater clarity on how Pakistan positions itself in multilateral discussions and inspired them to engage more confidently during the MUN conference.
For these young participants, the embassy briefing offered more than just information; it served as a bridge between academic simulations and real-world diplomacy.
Their exposure to actual diplomatic insights could influence how they contribute to debates, represent Pakistan, and understand global advocacy.
