Nouakchott, 8 September 2021 (TDI): Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria Ramtane Lamamra met with the President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.
Ramtane Lamamra Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria was there on a business visit. Brotherly greetings were exchanged between the two leaders. This meeting provided an opportunity to review bilateral relations and focus on the historical ties between the two countries that combine them. With that, the talks addressed the current scenario at the Moroccan and Arab levels keeping in view the common challenges in the Sahel and Sahara region. Consequentially, ways to enhance the year of consultation and coordination on the African and Arab issues of mutual interest were highlighted.
