Afghanistan Deputy Foreign Minister met Chinese Ambassador

Kabul: July 27, 2021- (TDI):  Today, Mirwais Nab, Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, met with Wang Yu, Ambassador of China in Kabul. They discussed various topics such as the increased violence of the Taliban in collaboration with terrorist organizations, the Afghan peace process, and strengthening Afghanistan-China cooperation.

Nab highlighted recent visits of top officials to Central Asia to attend meetings of the “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity, Challenges and Opportunities” and the “Afghanistan-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Contact Group.” He commended the joint vision of Central Asian countries in the fight against terrorism and extremism as well as the same perspective on the actions of terrorist organizations and the Taliban.

The Deputy Foreign minister acknowledged China’s constructive involvement in the Afghan peace process. He also emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations to combat terrorism and secure peace and stability in Afghanistan and the overall region.
