Kabul, 27 May 2022 (TDI): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan responded to the UNSC report.

The Foreign Minister hailed the decision of member states of the UNSC (United Nations Security Council) to revive the banking and financial systems of Afghanistan and to provide medical and humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan for their development prospects.

The Ministry also said that these are the vital and much-needed steps that are essential for the prospect of the people of Afghanistan. In the statement, the Ministry also explained that these decisions will act as building blocks for Afghanistan’s development and economic growth


Concerns raised by the Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan

In Addition, the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan raised serious concerns about the report of the United Nations Security Council about women’s rights.

In the declaration issued by the United Nations Security Council, they expressed their deep concerns about the violation of women’s rights in Afghanistan. Afghanistan’s Foreign Ministry strongly denied the concerns in the declaration issued by UNSC and termed it baseless.

Likewise, they also stated that they are more committed than in the past to ensure the rights of women, minorities and from all backgrounds for peace and harmony.

Moreover, they also said that since the people of Afghanistan are Muslim, they expect people of different cultures and religions to respect their religion.

Lastly, in the statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, they said that they once again call the United States of America to unfreeze and release Afghanistan’s assets unconditionally and lift all economic sanctions for the sake of the betterment of humanity.
