Afghan Foreign Minister meets China’s Ambassador

Kabul, 11 August 2021 (TDI): Mohammad Hanif Atmar, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan met with Wang Yu, the Chinese Ambassador to Kabul to review and discuss the security situation in Afghanistan and areas of bilateral cooperation.

It was said by the foreign minister to cease the ongoing violations in Afghanistan and resume the peace negotiations. In this regard, Afghanistan needs China’s absolute support and cooperation.

The ongoing violation, worsening security conditions, and humanitarian catastrophe should be ceased immediately, said the Chinese ambassador on the continuous Afghan conflict. Mr. Wang also convinced the Secretary of State of his country’s support and cooperation to enact proposals of Afghanistan through the Security Council, Doha Summit, and the UN Human Rights Council.
The supplying of Covid-19 vaccines was negotiated as well. It was considered important to strengthen and cooperate in economic, technical, and political sectors.
