Islamabad, 3 December 2022 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received a call from the Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Muttaqi amid the terrorist attack on Pakistan’s Head of Mission, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani in Kabul on 2 December 2022.
The acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan condemned the attack on the Ambassador and assured Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto that the Afghan government will bring culprits behind the bars, a statement released by Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
Moreover, the Afghan Foreign Minister reaffirmed Afghanistan’s firm commitment to combat terrorism and bringing the land to peace and prosperity.
He furthermore conveyed his best wishes and prayers for the early recovery of the Ambassadors’ security guard, Sepoy Israr Mohammad, who was injured while protecting Pakistan’s Head of Mission.
Bilawal Bhutto’s remarks
Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while talking to Acting Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi thanked him and the Interm Afghan Government for expressing a strong sense of solidarity and support.

Besides that, he highlighted the utmost importance of the safety and security of Pakistan’s Mission to Afghanistan for stability and prosperity in the region.
Foreign Minister urges the Afghan Minister that Afghanistan’s Government must prevent the terrorists from undermining the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Lastly, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterates Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to fighting terrorism and said that Pakistan will be undeterred by such attacks.
Prime Minister of Pakistan on attack
Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif condemned the assassination attack on Pakistan’s Head of Mission, Kabul.
Furthermore, in his message, he salutes the brave security guard and prayed for his swift recovery. Prime Minister demands immediate investigation and action against the perpetrators of this attack from the Afghan Government.
Attack on Pakistan’s Head of Mission
In Kabul on 2 December, a gunman opened fire on Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani to attempt assassination and the target narrowly escaped.
The security guard of the Head of Mission, Sepoy Israr Mohammed critically injured while protecting the target and he had been evacuated to Pakistan, the Foreign Office of Pakistan said.
