Kabul, 15 August 2021 (TDI): Chairman of the High Council for the National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah met with the ex-President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai this morning to discuss the mercurial situation of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, both sides stressed on arrangement of negotiations with the Taliban on peace tables in Qatar. Both sides showed interest in sending an authoritative delegation to Doha to discuss peace settlement for Afghanistan with the Taliban leaders in Qatar. The on-ground Taliban have reached the outskirts of the capital city of the country. The chaos in the country has escalated. In the meeting, the interlocutors came to a point that peace dealings should be done in Doha by arranging a parley to address the concerns of all actors.
