This visit marks Premier Li’s first trip to Pakistan since assuming office, and it reflects a robust exchange of visits at the head-of-government level over the past year.

It follows Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s visit to China in June, during which both leaders worked to advance key agreements and sustain positive momentum in bilateral relations.

In addition to discussions on enhancing traditional friendship and strategic communication, Premier Li will participate in the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Islamabad.
