Naqvi Meets Chinese Ambassador, Discusses Karachi Blast

Islamabad (TDI): Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visited the Chinese Embassy to meet with Ambassador Jiang Zaidong on Monday.

The meeting comes a day after a tragic incident in Karachi where two Chinese nationals lost their lives in a blast.

During the meeting, Naqvi expressed condolences and discussed security measures for Chinese citizens in Pakistan.

Naqvi conveyed deep sorrow and regret over the incident. He emphasized the solidarity of the Pakistani government and its people with the Chinese government and the bereaved families.

“In this hour of grief, we stand with the government of China and the families of the deceased Chinese citizens,” Naqvi stated.

“The entire Pakistani nation shares the sorrow of our Chinese brothers.”

Naqvi briefed the ambassador on the progress of the investigations into the blast, assuring comprehensive probes and stern punishment for those involved.

“This heinous act against the friendship between Pakistan and China is intolerable and a vile conspiracy against our fraternal relations,” he remarked.

He vowed that any plot against the bilateral ties would not succeed.

“The safety of our Chinese brothers, who are contributing to Pakistan’s development, is our top priority,” Naqvi declared.

He condemned the attack on Chinese nationals. “No amount of condemnation is enough for this assault.”

The minister highlighted that the enemy targeted citizens of China, Pakistan’s most reliable friend, indicating that the attack was not just on Chinese individuals but on Pakistan itself.

Naqvi stated that the government was taking concrete measures against terrorism and threats to foreign nationals, especially those from China, within Pakistan’s borders.
