Rise of Electric Planes in Beijing’s Low-Altitude Market

Beijing (TDI): Beijing’s low-altitude economy received a boost on Monday when the RX1E-A, a two-seat electric planes that China independently built, made its inaugural flight at Badaling Airport.

In 2017, Shenyang, Liaoning province saw the inaugural flight of the RX1E-A type, an upgraded variant of the nation’s first electric planes. Experience flights and pilot flying instruction are its primary uses.

Over 10,000 safe flight hours have been accrued since acquiring the type certificate and production certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

With a maximum range of 240 kilometers and a flight endurance of 150 minutes, the RX1E-A is a highly safe aircraft with the option of a whole-plane parachute system.
