Pakistan’s PM Welcomes Chinese RUYI Delegation

Islamabad (TDI): In an essential development for Pakistan’s textile industry, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held an important meeting with a top executive delegation from the RUYI Group, under supervision by Chairman Qiu Yafu.

The delegation’s visit marks the culmination of the Prime Minister’s recent trip to China.

They discussed concerning investment, focused on strengthening economic cooperation between the two nations.

During the meeting, Qiu Yafu announced that the RUYI Group, China’s leading cotton and textile Corporation, plans to establish international standard textile parks in Pakistan.

That will help to boost the textile sector in Pakistan.

These textile parks will provide thousands of new job opportunities. Also, promote the export of quality textile products in international markets.

The Prime Minister welcomed the delegation. He showed deep appreciation for China’s continued support of Pakistan, specifically through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He accepted China’s role as a devoted friend and mentioned the strong economic and diplomatic ties that have been a pillar of bilateral relations for decades. “China always stands with Pakistan in a challenging period,” PM Shahbaz Sharif stated.

He emphasized the historical importance of this partnership. He noted that RUYI Group was one of the Chinese companies that invested in the Sahiwal Coal Power Plant under CPEC.

The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s engagement in supporting a conducive environment for foreign investment, particularly from China. These assure full support in ensuring the success of new projects.

The textile parks are being developed by RUYI Group. These will perform as per international standards, concentrating on sustainability and innovation.

By enhancing production capacities and improving the quality of textile products, these parks will facilitate to strengthen the export of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister clarified the importance of Chinese investment in Pakistan, especially when the country struggles to overcome economic challenges.
