Islamabad: June 29, 2021 – (TDI): The seventh edition of the Startup Cup Finale was concluded by the Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Islamabad, in collaboration with the US Embassy in Islamabad. It is a local business model competition, aiming to enhance the quality and quantity of entrepreneurs of Pakistan. Being the largest startup competition, the Startup Cup has supported over 2500 startups to take off in Pakistan. In this competition, 500+ startups participated. The president of TiE, Murtaza Zaidi expressed his goal of promoting an entrepreneur-nourishing the environment in Pakistan. According to him, this competition can be a bridge, connecting emerging entrepreneurs with business persons, for their mutual benefits. The Minister Counselor for Public Affairs Raymond Castillo of the US embassy was of the view that this competition will promote creativity and business and entrepreneurs. It will be a thrilling experience as the US has been promoting entrepreneurs for a long time, he expressed. Initiatives such as the Startup Competition will assist Pakistani youth in showcasing their skills, shared Senator Sania Nishtar.
The winner of the final level, Scaryammi, the first mothering community application of Pakistan won a prize of 10 million rupees. mimAR, a building visualization company that offers interactive visualization for the real estate industry, won second position with a prize of 750,000 rupees. At the third position was MeraFuture, an Islamabad based initiative, offering artificial intelligence-based career counseling to students of 9th-12th grade, which won 500,000 rupees as a prize. From Lahore; Mobiliti, from Islamabad; Poulta, from Peshawar; Moogle, from Karachi; Kaachi and from Quetta; Edjin Robotics was the regional winner in the competition.
