Malabo, 17 September 2021 (TDI): A ceremony was held in remembrance of the 50th anniversary of China’s medical team that was dispatched to Equatorial Guinea in 1971. A batch of medical equipment of China-donated was delivered at the ceremony. Chinese medical teams were sent to more than seventy regions and countries upon requests, such as in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

Since 1971, a Chinese medical team of 586 medical staff of 31 batches has worked in the country to boost the health level of locals in Equatorial Guinea. Since then China has dedicated its medical staff to Equatorial Guinea for the safety of their health. This medical staff is on an 18-month mission to improve the healthcare facilities of West African countries.
