46 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Mozambique

June 25, 2021- (TDI): Today marks the completion of 46 years since the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Republic of Mozambique. Vietnam reopened its embassy in Mozambique in 2009 whereas the latter did so in Hanoi in 2011. Since diplomatic ties were set up between the two, they have greatly supported each other in their past struggles such as that of independence and the much recent causes of national construction as well as economic development. Vietnam expressed its happiness to witness the consistent growth of their traditional friendly relations in various sectors relating to politics, trade, economics, culture, and education. In terms of trade and investment, Mozambique ranks 11th out of the 72 countries in which Vietnam has invested. The fine relationship between them has been maintained by mutual visits made by their leaders on frequent occasions.
