Kyiv, 11 April 2023 (TDI): According to the warring nations, some 200 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers have returned home as part of a prisoner exchange.

According to a deal with Ukraine, 106 Russian soldiers were released from Ukrainian custody, according to the Russian Defense Ministry on Monday.

The chief of staff to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Andriy Yermak, said that 100 Ukrainian inmates had been released by Russia.No mention of intermediaries was made in either announcement regarding the agreement.

According to a statement made by Yermak and shared on Telegram, several of the Ukrainian soldiers have serious diseases and injuries.

He continued, saying that the most recent prisoner exchange in the conflict that began in February 2022 was “not an easy one.” He said nothing further.

According to the Defence Ministry, the liberated Russians were being transported to Moscow for medical care and rehabilitation on military transport aircraft.

One of the few areas of collaboration between Russia and Ukraine is represented by these exchanges. Since the start of the conflict, both sides have brought back hundreds of dead and missing soldiers.

In the meantime, the presidential administration of Ukraine said that the most recent Russian bombardment had injured at least six civilians.

Iryna Vereshchuk, the deputy prime minister of Ukraine, stated in broadcast remarks that there are up to seven million individuals who are internally displaced within the nation, including about one million children.

The majority of them have relocated to safer areas in central and western Ukraine after leaving their homes in the east and south.
