Remarks by AGRF former Chair

According to Hailemariam Dessalegn, former Ethiopian Prime Minister and Chair of the AGRF, collective action will be required to accelerate development and effect genuine change.

Moreover, healthy food and livelihoods are essential to a healthy nation. He added that all sectors must work together to achieve results for the earth, the people, and prosperity.

However, African governments should take the lead in these initiatives by prioritizing and incorporating multiple objective policies, such as those that call for nutritious meals, a fair wage for farmers, and policies that address climate change and other environmental fragilities.
