RAWALPINDI, (TDI): The Pakistan Army killed 12 terrorists in two separate operations in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday and Friday, the military said.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media affairs wing of the Pakistan Army, both operations were carried out in the North and South Waziristan areas of the province.
The first confrontation occurred on September 19, when security forces detected a group of seven terrorists attempting to infiltrate the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan.
The infiltrators were swiftly surrounded and engaged in a fierce firefight, ultimately resulting in the death of all seven militants. Security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
In a second incident in the Ladha area of South Waziristan, a group of Khwarij launched an attack on a security forces’ post.

Pakistani troops displayed remarkable bravery in repelling the assault, killing five terrorists. Unfortunately, during this fierce exchange of gunfire, six soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced  shahadat.
In the wake of these encounters, security forces have intensified sanitization operations to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence in the area.
