Cape Town, 17 November 2021 (TDI): President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa attends the opening ceremony of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) 2021 in Durban, South Africa. President Mnangagwa engaged member states to improve border modernization that facilitates cross-border trade in Africa.
Furthermore, he encouraged member states to work on national projects that support Regional Trade Facilitation Programs. Additionally, he emphasized the member states to focus on investment in Research and Development, and Innovation.

Besides, the President of Zimbabwe visited the Zimbabwean Pavilion at the IATF 2021. There are almost six small and medium levels Zimbabwean companies participating in the fair.
Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) is underway in South Africa. IATF 2021 main focus is the newly-launched African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Head of state, government official, representatives, entrepreneurs, business delegations, and financial experts participates from across the continent and will attend the six-day event. IATF provides a forum for linking sellers, investors, and international buyers.
They share market information and investment opportunities in Africa. The trade supports the economic integration of the African continent. It is assumed that almost $40 billion in trade and investment deals will be finalized in the fair.
