Islamabad (TDI): President Asif Ali Zardari is set to depart for a four-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates today, the Foreign Office (FO) said in a statement.
According to the FO, the president will travel to the UAE from January 26 to 29, accompanied by a high-level delegation.
During the visit, President Zardari is scheduled to hold meetings with the UAE’s top leadership to review the full spectrum of bilateral relations, with a particular focus on trade, economic cooperation and people-to-people ties.
The discussions will also cover regional and international issues of shared interest, the statement added.
The Foreign Office said the visit follows last month’s brief trip to Pakistan by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two countries.
