Zartaj Gul, Pakistan's Minister for Climate Change.

Glasgow, 2 November 2021 (TDI): Minister of State for Climate Change, Zartaj Gul Wazir briefed the World leaders about Pakistan’s pro-active strategy to counter climate change, at United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).

The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

During COP26, she met Turkish delegation on Climate Change, led by Dr. Mehmet Emin Birpınar, Special Envoy for Climate Change. The both discussed the collaboration efforts of Pakistan and turkey on climate change.

Zartaj Gul is meeting with Turkish delegation at the COP26 Summit.

Dr. Mehmet wished Minster Zartaj Gul, success in her endeavors in a tweet. He also highlighted the fact that she is the first female climate minister in the world. he said “We believe in the power of women in the Green development revolution”.

Zartaj Gul thanked  Dr. Mehmet’s appreciation for her, “I thank you for your kind words, Your Excellency”.
