July 10, 2021 – (TDI): Zalmay Khalilzad, the US representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation is on an official visit to South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
He has commenced this visit with the purpose of promoting diplomacy and paving a road towards a peace agreement between the Taliban and Afghanistan.
He intends to collaborate with all parties and all the regional and international stakeholders concerned with the peace process. He aims to bring all parties to a mutual consensus regarding a political settlement. While in Tashkent, the US representative aims to attend an international conference about regional connectivity, hosted by Uzbekistan.
