Beijing (TDI): Yunnan Province, known for its six World Heritage sites, joined hands with Fujian and Shandong Provinces, as well as international partners including Khon Kaen City of Thailand, Luang Prabang Province of Laos, and Siem Reap Province of Cambodia, to unveil the “World Heritage Tour Program (WHTP)”.
The initiative was launched during the 2024 China International Friendship Cities Conference (CIFCC).

Under the Belt and Road Initiative, deeper cooperation in infrastructure, trade, and cultural exchanges has paved the way for significant growth in the global tourism sector.
The WHTP seeks to establish a comprehensive international platform, engaging professionals from cultural and tourism sectors, sister cities, academic institutions, media, and enterprises.
