Beijing, 2 January 2022 (TDI): Former Ambassador, Lu Shulin (one of China’s renowned diplomats and from stalwart friends of Pakistan) has compiled the “You and Us” Volume II.
The launching ceremony was held at Pakistan Embassy in Beijing. High-ranking Chinese officials, intellectuals, mission officers, and media representatives attended the ceremony in the embassy.

The release of You and Us Volume II was unveiled in conformity with the 70th anniversary of Pakistan and China’s exceptional diplomatic relations. Said volume explicates the perspectives of leading Pakistani and Chinese politicians, intellectuals, diplomats, and artists about Pakistan-China friendship.
It is intended to pay honor and homage to the creators of the Pakistan-China friendship and to pass on the best traditions of bilateral connections to the young generation of both nations. It is adorned with historical images and the personal experiences of writers.
Address of Pakistani Ambassador
During the speech, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moin-ul-Haque praised Ambassador Lu Shulin for his lifetime efforts to strengthen Pakistan-China relations. He highlighted the efforts of people from all walks of life from both nations who have reinforced the Pakistan-China relations into a brotherhood which are being manifested itself in ever-increasing political, economic, and cultural ties between both states.
Ambassador Lu Shulin’s Adress
Ambassador Lu Shulin, during his address at the ceremony, stated that “You and Us-II” is a tribute to exalted and affable bilateral relations between Pakistan and China, as well as the officials and people of both nations.
He expressed that Pakistan holds an exclusive position not just in the Chinese foreign policy but also in the hearts of Chinese diplomats. Ambassador Lu Shulin is also an Urdu poet.
He expressed his hope from the young diplomats of both nations that they would continue to play their roles in elevating the bilateral ties to a new level as the governments and people of both nations envisions.
Lu Shulin considers Pakistan his second home because he remained as Ambassador of China to Pakistan from 1999 to 2002. The first volume of the book “You and Us,” is a compendium of Ambassador Lu’s remarkable anecdotes about the friendship between Chinese and Pakistani people, was published in 2015.
