Yemen Foreign Minister meets the Director of Swedish Agency

Sana’a, 11 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Yemen Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak met the Director of Swedish agency Sven Ericin in Yemen.

The official visit objective was to promote peace, prosperity, and security. The meeting had the officials and specialists in the agency.

The fundamental point of the visit was to settle the peace and developments in Yemen.

The gathering got hold of the peace developments and the purpose of lack of peace processing in it.

The representatives assured to make improvements through strategic solutions. The representatives of the meeting addressed plans and discussed some principles.

The Foreign Minister directed his views and explained the cause of the sudden occurrence of war.

The Foreign Minister declared government orders to control all kinds of disasters and overcome all challenges. The minister stood out of the directions and approaches to end the conflicts and wars in Yemen.

The Foreign Minister of Yemen is visiting Sweden from 9-10 September especially on the talks about Sweden’s support for Yemen and international peace efforts.

It is important to note that situation in Yemen is volatile. Later after Foreign Minister’s visit, Foreign Minister of Sweden will visit Yemen too.

During this visit, the discussion will be arranged about the efforts of the UN for the support for talk between parties in Yemen to end conflict.

It is important to note that one of the Swedish Diplomat Hans Grundberg has took office as UN Special Envoy for Yemen and is now leading the entire UN efforts for finding a peaceful solution to this conflict.

Yemen Minister will also meet the Minister of International Development Cooperation, Parliamentary Commitee on Foreign Affairs and will visit Folke Bernadotte Academy.

This is a first visit from any Yemen’s Foreign Minister since 2018 especially when Sweden hosted peace talks and resulted in the Stockholm agreement 

One the simmering conflict in Yemen is one of the largest humanitarian crisis and this conflict has caused nearly 21 million people to suffer. Most of htem are refugees in the neigbouring countries.
