Beijing (TDI): China’s space industry employees were urged by President Xi Jinping to keep up their hard work and expedite space technology initiatives on Monday.
At Beijing’s Great Hall of the People, Xi, who is also the chairman of the Central Military Commission and general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, held a meeting with representatives from the space scientific and engineering community who worked on the Chang’e-6 lunar mission prototype.
According to Xi, the accomplishments of the lunar exploration project show how far China has come in recent years in terms of scientific and technological self-reliance and represent the knowledge and labor of many generations of Chinese aerospace professionals.
He called for efforts to further enhance the national confidence and pride of all Chinese people and to build up a powerful force for comprehensively promoting the building of a strong country and realizing national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization.
He described the spirit of lunar exploration as “chasing dreams, daring to explore, collaborating to overcome challenges, and achieving win-win cooperation.”

Chang’e-6 achieved a significant milestone in China’s space exploration and scientific and technological pursuits when it successfully collected samples from the moon’s far side for the first time in human history.
This feat broke through several critical technologies. For China’s lunar exploration program, it marks a significant turning point.
The lunar exploration project has been concentrating on important core technologies for the last 20 years, and this has produced positive outcomes in terms of international cooperation, scientific discovery, technological innovation, engineering practice, and achievement application.
He claimed that it had paved the way for excellent and reasonably priced lunar exploration and had significantly aided the growth of China’s space industry and human space exploration.
Xi emphasized that the space sector has developed historically, to a high standard, and with significant advancements over the past 75 years since the People’s Republic of China was founded.
Space travel is humanity’s common cause, according to Xi, who also stated that humanity shares this domain. Empathy, reciprocity, nonviolent use, and win-win collaboration have always been the cornerstones of the lunar exploration endeavor.
He challenged everyone in attendance to maintain an open mind, expand international collaboration and exchange in the field of space.
He also asked to share development successes with other nations, enhance space governance, and increase the benefits of space science and technology advancements for all people.
