Xi Advocates for Stronger China-Vietnam Partnership

Beijing (TDI): Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized the importance of promoting a community with a shared future between China and Vietnam.

In a recent meeting with Luong Cuong, a prominent member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Xi underscored that both nations’ adherence to the leadership of their respective communist parties and socialist systems forms the bedrock of their bilateral relations.

He reaffirmed China’s commitment to prioritizing Vietnam in its neighborhood diplomacy, expressing readiness to deepen high-level cooperation that benefits both sides while championing international fairness and justice.

Notably, Xi pointed to the significant global changes occurring at an unprecedented pace and called on both nations to maintain a correct political trajectory.

He urged the strengthening of strategic perspectives in their relations to ensure sustained and properly oriented bilateral development.

Further, Xi highlighted the necessity for enhanced exchanges of ideas and governance experiences, advocating for the utilization of institutional platforms for theoretical discussions and training programs.

He emphasized the importance of maximizing the potential for cooperation and aligning development strategies to bolster interconnectivity between the two countries.

As Vietnam and China approach the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Xi called for leveraging the upcoming China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges.

He expressed the desire for both nations to reinforce their traditional friendship and effectively guide public sentiment to support the enduring development of their ties.

In his remarks, Xi reiterated that China’s deepening reforms and high-level opening-up would not only facilitate its own growth but also create new opportunities for Vietnam and the global community.

He expressed confidence that under the leadership of General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam would achieve the goals established by the CPV’s 13th National Congress.

Relations with China Strategic Priority

Echoing Xi’s sentiments, Luong Cuong stated that nurturing relations with China is a strategic priority for Vietnam’s diplomacy.

He expressed Vietnam’s commitment to fulfilling the important agreements reached by the top leaders of both nations, enhancing cooperation across various sectors, and effectively managing and resolving differences.

He reaffirmed the goal of advancing the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and building a community with a shared future.
