Davos (TDI): Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb on Thursday attended the World Economic Leaders Gathering (IGWEL) session titled “Viable Growth in a Volatile Era” on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
According to a statement from the Finance Ministry, IGWEL sessions are one of the WEF’s highest-level, off-the-record discussions, attended by policymakers, business leaders, and experts.

The session was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Planning of Tunisia Samir Abdelhafidh, Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia Faisal Alibrahim, Minister of Finance of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Al-Jadaan, and Minister of Economy of the UAE Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri.
The session centred on strategies to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in the face of global economic uncertainties.

On Wednesday, Aurangzeb also met with the President of Gender Equality at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Anita Zaidi.
The two dignitaries discussed collaborative efforts undertaken to improve nutrition, health, and polio eradication.
Separately, he also called on Mounir Nakhla CEO of MNT-Halan.
The two officials discussed the ongoing operations of MNT-Halan in Pakistan. The Finance Minister highlighted opportunities for collaboration in digital finance to enhance financial inclusion in the country.
He emphasized the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to fostering partnerships in financial innovation to support economic development.
