Islamabad, 25 September 2021 (TDI): World Health Organization (WHO) launched Mask wearing Campaign. In the past 24 hours, the virus (COVID-19) claimed more lives across the nation, the positivity rate is increasing daily as it increases to 5.3%, which is not a good sign. Keeping in view the current scenario, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched a Mask-wearing campaign with the Health Minister to encourage compliance to COVID-19.
WHO Representative in Pakistan, Dr. Palitha Mahipala along with his staff visited Islamabad International Airport to distribute IEC masks and supplies to passengers as part of the Campaign. The WHO Representative’s measures against COVID-19 are effective interventions to slow down the virus. The Government officials praised the sincere commitments and dedication of WHO Pakistan promoting effective health care measures.
