Geneva, 3 September 2021 (TDI): Earlier Today, UN High Commissioner for refugees, MR. Filippo Grandi spoke to Canadian Government official Karina Gould.
The Canadian Official assures UNHCR of their consistent support in addressing the Afghan Refugee Crisis. Ms. Karina, Talking to the UN High Commissioner guaranteed to work hand in hand with International partners. $50 million worth of aid was announced by Canada prior to deal the Humanitarian Crisis in Afghanistan. We will work together to provide Afghan refugees with elementary lifesaving aid, She added.
Mr. Filipo Grandi later in his official Twitter Account, expressed gratitude to Ms. Karina for her Call. The UN High Commission further added that UNHCR will always count on Canada. We will always look up to Canada while addressing the growing humanitarian crisis affecting millions of Afghans, Mr. Filippo Added.
